One more social obligation met each year by Heramb is arranging annual Blood Donation camp. The concept of this camp is unique too. Since the donors are students, the blood bank which comes for the camp is happy to get around 100-120 bags of fresh blood each year. This camp is held on the last Sunday of October as it coincides with Anniversary celebration of Heramb. (Heramb was inaugurated on 25th October, 2002)
The concept of Blood Donation Camp is unique because the donation cards are not given to the donors. Infact, they are stored at Heramb Coaching Classes. Why? Is the natural question that pops up in everybody’s mind. The answer is simple. Those who are in need of blood contact Vishusir and he provides necessary number of cards to the needy immediately. Since cards are stored in one place, he can provide 5-7 cards instantly to the person who needs blood. Also, since the blood bank is same since 17 years, the relationship is such that the blood bank understands the social intention and helps to the best of its capacities. Overall, everyone is benefitted by this simple concept visualized by Vishusir.
Nowadays, Vishusir is also actively involved in arranging blood donation camps for other social organsiations who are planning to arrange such camps. So, the contribution to society has increased – directly as well as indirectly. It is said that Blood Donation is the Best Donation and Heramb is proud to play its role in this life saving activity in the best of its capacities.
